Witch Bottle by Tom Fletcher

Daniel has a monotonous job as a milkman in rural England. His customers can be irritating and his boss is temperamental but it's not so bad, except now something is changing. He has started to get frightening nightmares. Horrifying visions that disturb his sleep. Speaking to some of the isolated and lonely old people on his route Daniel realises that there are others who are seeing things too.

He is offered help by Kathryn who is something of a local witch or a cunning woman. She makes him a witch bottle which seems effective and soon he is delivering witch bottles on his round as well as collecting ingredients for Kathryn and her witch business is booming.

But there are men in the area who don't like what Daniel and Kathryn are doing and they are dangerous men. A dark literary horror novel of folklore, superstition, violence and loneliness.
